Tommy was born in Fraserburgh Aberdeenshire Scotland , October 1950. His Father was a well-respected Boat builder. Many hours of Tommy’s childhood was spent in the Boatyard observing and often helping in the construction of Wooden Fishing Boats.

He set up his own Engineering and Machinery business whilst attending to his other calling. This calling lay within the R.N.L.I. He served with the Fraserburgh Lifeboat, as Mechanic and Crew Member for 27 years.

Tommy retired from the Lifeboat Service in October 2005. He sold his Engineering business at the same time, thus allowing him to return to his love of painting. His specialist work is Marine based and his paintings reflect his knowledge of the varying sea conditions he experienced during his rescue work for the R.N.L.I.

His eye for detail has enhanced his reputation as an Artist in his field. Various commissions have kept Tommy busy. The feedback he has received from clients has encouraged him to become a commercial Artist in his own right. His main medium is Oil on Canvas or Board depending on client’s requirements

Tommy now lives and paints in Aberdeen. His other interests are travel and motorcycling. Tommy would like to add his thanks to his son Scott for the web page design.
